A privilege to have Ian as a neighbour, someone so knowledgeable, kind and generous.
Brighton born and bred, Ian had an endless supply of witty tales of Brighton in his formative years. We were particularly taken by the comings and goings on the Palace Pier. One form of amusement was a man jumping off the pier into burning petrol in the sea: Health & Safety was more lax in those days!
He was always willing to help in any way. We always appreciated his boundless knowledge of football, particularly the Albion.
You will be greatly missed, Ian.
